Said to be the saddest three minutes ever in a movie.

I can't believe that I'd never watched this.

I remember when it came out and the acclaim that Ricky Schroeder got for his performance, but I never saw it.

Tonight, while flipping through the channels, I saw The Champ listed and decided to give it a try.

Wow, is all I can say. Great performances by Ricky Schroeder, Jon Voight, Faye Dunaway, ... pretty much everybody.

Tough to keep a dry eye during this one.
