I kinda got hooked on "Sullivan's Crossing" and "Virgin River" and have watched a few seasons of each. I like the characters and the writing, for the most part.
BUT... these characters go from one crisis to another constantly, some medical, some relational, etc., and frankly I'm getting bored with all that and seriously considering discontinuing my viewership of these dramas.

They are both very similar, after a few seasons like most anything, the writing can either stale or just predictable.

I still like Virgin River (mostly because of Mel[/swoon].

Sullivan's Crossing was almost painful to get through. I think I kept watching just to see how much more ridiculous it could get.

I watched a couple of seasons of Virgin River but gave it up.
The writing went down hill and I got really tired of how they wrote Jack's character.

my wife is watching Sullivan's now and she (a big fan of this type of show, as well as most anything on the Hallmark channel) is not too thrilled by it,
