I'm reading the books right now. I saw the movie. The books are great but Tom Cruise isn't the stud that Reacher is - according to the author.

Wow... bad reviews.

Those that disliked it, how does it stack up against the prior movie?

I was less than excited but found the first film much better than I expected, mostly because I expected to hate it.

I didn't like either. I read the books and had a very good image of what Reacher was supposed to be.

Cruise falls well short by every measure

I read most of the books and really liked the first movie in spite of Cruises stature. I thought he acted the part spot on.

Too bad the second one sucks, I'll also see it with low expectations like the poster above.

I agree Tom Criuse isn't the book's Jac Reacher. Jack Reacher is 6'5", Tom Cruise is 5'6". Yea, no. That being said I thought he did a good job in the role.

The first movie I thought was very good. The second was awful. Really, really bad script. Skip it even if it's free.

Anybody notice that Lee Childs did a cameo in the movie? He was the TSA New Orleans agent.

Maybe because I haven't read the books, I had no problem with Cruise's portrayal . I did think it interesting that , when he broke the girl out of jail by taking out the large black guy and stealing his jacket and beret, the jacket fit Cruise perfectly,even though the black guy was twice his size .
