It's kind of sad watching old men try to act like they are in their 20's. Eek

I strongly disagree on call Metallica 'done'. Their new album is outstanding.

I love Seeger and Springsteen; neither has much voice left, bit they still put on a helluva show. Actually, come to think of it, Springsteen never really did have much of a voice. I miss The Big Man.

I went to the Frampton Acoustic Raw show here in Tucson and it was awesome. Even his covers of his pure electric rock songs was awesome - he still has the ability to perform well

Also went to see Alan parson - more of a spur of the moment decision and they were terrific - what you would expect from a perfectionist. Awesome music.

McCartney is on my bucket list but the last show I had a chance to see had tickets at $5700 a seat but thats what you get for being late.

We saw Styx earlier this year and they were very good.
Every concert of Three Dog night I have been to have been stellar. From the first one in 72 up to the last one a few years ago.

I saw the original Styx band member, lead singer, main hit song writer, who broke or was kicked out of the band. I cannot think of his name, but his new group is very good.
Oh, yeah, just came to me, Dennis DeYoung, the guy is a perfectionist also. That was worth the price of admission.

Have actually seen lots of cover bands that were good. BOSTYX is one. Play Boston and Styx music.

Saw Neil Young a few years ago now. I was pretty happy with what I saw. The voice was still... the same? An acquired taste I'll admit.

The folk genre gives him plenty of material to, I guess rest, between rockers. My daughter commented on the breaking a hip thing, I guess, nostalgia can blind a person.

I don't mind Axl's voice singing AC/DC songs, but can't stand looking at him.

We have tickets to see Tesla next month and it'll be interesting to see how they compare to when I saw them open for Def Leppard back in '87... Wink

Over the past few years we've seen Brett Michaels, Styx, Foreigner, Kansas, etc. on the casino circuit and all were entertaining.

I last saw the Eagles a few years ago before Glenn Frey died. They brought back Bernie Leadon and they were all in their late 60s. They had tuned some of the songs to fit their aging voices but in doing so they sounded good since they weren't blowing out their voices trying to reach some of the original vocals.

That being said, since Glenn Frey has died they have replaced him with his son and added Vince Gill. I've heard good things about the shows but I'm not going to pay Eagles ticket prices when you don't have Glenn Frey or Don Felder.

I saw them in '84. They were doing a campus tour type thing. Surprisingly, there were only about 2-300 people there. It was amazing! One of the best concerts I've ever been to. They even hung around after and mingled with the crowd for awhile. Got to meet all of them.

He's one of two that I would still like to see before they croak. The other is David Gilmour.

My wife half dragged me to a Leonard Skinner concert last summer, free tickets even. I feared the embarrassment (for them) of a group of old rockers, especially since so many of the originals were gone.
They were VERY GOOD.

Well, the love of my life, for my Birthday next month, has gone overboard. 2nd row tickets to Jackson Browne the day before my Birthday.

AND damn fine tickets to see The Eagles in July! The most 25 played tunes on my iPhone are-----you guessed it---'The Eagles'.

I've seen them once before, but this will be extra special!!!!

I took the missus a few years ago to see the Police, (Sting's Son's band opened)
they played well and it was a good show, but no where near the energy from the first time I saw them, (Ghost in the Machine)

I still get tickets to Elvis Costello, English Beat and a few other 80's acts when they are in the area, and enjoy them all

one of the best shows I have seen was The Specials, in Chevy Chase Md, last year,

fantastic show

Saw them last night and it was a kick ass show with the pedal to the floor from start to finish! Jeff Keith has not aged well. His voice is strained from years of belting his unique sound, he was higher than a kite and was a little creepy to watch, but he gives it 110% and actually did a pretty damn good job.

Frank Hannon is simply awesome on the guitar!

I saw John Fogerty last July and he played every one of the CCR classics you can think of, plus his solo hits from the 80s for an almost nonstop 1 hr, 40 minutes. He hadn’t lost a thing and was outstanding.

You have your opinion, and I respect that. But we saw them last week, and they were better than they were 10 years ago. Absolutely phenomenal!! Both I and the wife were blown away, as we had our doubts about the new line up.

Only disappointment was the wife, complaining about watching Vince sing Glenn's lines, not the voice but Vince instead of Glenn Roll Eyes

Highly advise, that if you like the Eagles, do it, they are fantastic, and who knows, it may be your last chance.
