"You got my cheeze whiz, boy?" I always wondered why this brief clip got time in the movie. Turns out, the gent was " Layne “Shotgun” Britton, a makeup artist to stars like Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and Belushi.

It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it!

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what? "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." - Margaret Thatcher

Possibly my favorite all time movie. I could quote it for hours. That said for some reason the following really pedestrian line cracks me up every time. Something about the delivery. “Your gonna look kind funny eating corn on the cob with no fucking teeth.” "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
Growing up in Chicago in the 80's - I was 8 when the movie was released - this was "our movie" as we became teens, and we had the whole thing memorized. I grew up in the town next to John (and Jim's) hometown, and there's a family restaurant with pictures of John on the wall form when he worked there before he was famous. I didn't see the pics until 2010 when I was back in town for a high school reunion and I decided to go to that restaurant. When I paid the bill at the front counter I saw the pics and asked the owner "is that John?". He said yes, it was a long time ago.

This. That is my favorite line. I watched the snot out of this movie as a teenager, never giving this line much attention; as an adult though, this is THE line to beat.
