Actor Tom Lester who was best known for his role as Eb on the show Green Acres has passed away from Complications of Parkinson's disease at age 81. https://www.al.com/life/2020/0...ster-dies-at-81.html On a personal note, many years ago in the late 70's I was a cook at a Sizzler restaurant in Kenner, La. On a day I was scheduled off of work he came in to the restaurant. I did go into work the next day and everyone that worked the day before had a chance to meet and talk with him. They all said he was friendly and engaging. He talked with anyone that wanted to speak with him. He also told them he was a preacher. I was always a big fan of the show. I'm sorry I missed the chance to talk with him. RIP Mr. Lester "Lion Heart is all heart, Smarty Jones is all out!!!"

I love Green Acres, just finished watching it on MeTV. One of a kind TV show, not your average "rural" sitcom. And Tom Lester was a big part of it. RIP. It seems every actor on that show was perfectly cast, including Arnold! We watched an episode a few nights ago where Eb was trying to win a radio contest by naming a dozen songs. Of course there had to be a plot complication to make things hard for Eb. The cow swallowed the radio. The drama. The comedy. Great stuff! "Lion Heart is all heart, Smarty Jones is all out!!!"
