Remember this one from TNT in 2013? Mob City

It looked promising but it lasted all of six episodes.

Others?

Rubicon. Got a short season on AMC, not picked up or renewed, which is a shame. I liked it.

Outsourced. It was about an American transferred to manage a call center in India.

My favorite part was that there were a group that got the best accounts because they could mimic the best American accents. (Texan, Midwestern, and New York).

Loved that show.

I watched the first few episodes of The Black Donnellys back in the day on network TV. Liked it. Not sure what happened to it and think it had the potential to be a little too gritty for network TV.

My top two have already been mentioned: Firefly and iFreaks and Geeks.

So I'll toss out a couple "honorable mentions":

Constantine

Birds of Prey

Not great, but certainly showed promise.

Actually don't think it got past the pilot.

Fauda - it is Netflix show about Mossad. Wonderful show, only one season. So hoping they decide to film a second.

Yeah, number 1 for me is also Firefly

My wife and I really enjoyed outsourced as well....

I think High Incident technically had more than a year because they didn’t do full episode runs in their season...so I will give it an honorable mention.

If you’ve never seen it, it was produced by Spielberg about the LAPD staring Cole Hauser and David Keith....it ended on a Bank of LA style shootout with several characters injured and then was cancelled so you never knew what happened. Aired in the mid 90s

While they claim three seasons, it was only 23 episodes.

As others have said, Firefly.

Also Alien Nation and Detroit 187

Jericho, though it was brought back for a short 7 episode season 2.

Yeah. After having read all the books, they didn't do a good job with the pilot at all.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I didn’t know if Jericho was eligible, but agree here too

Actually, with Jericho, they to rewind to like episode 10

When the show was just about day one o day survival, it was excellent. Where it lost its compass was in trying to make the whole conspiracy come through a small town in Kansas.....that would have been a better second season cliffhanger after everyone was hooked and the initial survival storylines were done
