Him, Bob Dylan, and fucking Neil Young. I had to sit through days and days of entire playlists of those fuckers played at loud levels at my last music industry job becasuse the bosses loved them. At the end of a whole day of bootlegged concerts from the 60’s and 70’s and rare b sides from any of the above, I was ready to punt an entire litter of puppies or kittens, take your pick, through the Rose windows of Notre Dame. And I love animals and history. If every last copy or trace of those three guys ever singing could suddenly vaporize from the face of the earth tomorrow and I would probably heave a sigh of relief. This message has been edited. Bob Dylan Neil Young And I can explain my dislike for Zep. They were so overplayed in my day, that even now I have a hard time with them. Several of my friends played the albums over and over and over. Immigrant song was in a movie I saw recently, and I found I could sit through it. Maybe I will reassess. ___________________ "He who is without oil, shall throw the first rod" Compressions 9.5:1

Rod Stewart. He always sounds like he's yelling not singing. And his voice is like fingernails on the chalkboard. The Beatles. Never did like them when they were big, still don't.

Bingo. Thank you. I can always tell when Coldplay is on, because all their "music" sounds the same. Insipid is the only word I can think of to describe them. _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

This deserves a thread all its own. I'm a city kid, but loved Randy Travis, George Strait, etc. But, if I put on a "country" radio station these days, all I can say is "What the hell is this shit!?" What happened to country music?? _____________________________________________________________________ “One of the common failings among honorable people is a failure to appreciate how thoroughly dishonorable some other people can be, and how dangerous it is to trust them.” – Thomas Sowell

you may be right. I never want to hear "Whole Lotta Love" or "Black Dog" again in my lifetime, but the songs you listed aren't too bad. .

I listen to mostly classic rock. I always turn the radio station when music from these come on: Bob Dylan Neil young Bruce springsteen Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant sounds like he’s getting ass-raped) Aerosmith Pearl Jam (Eddie sounds like a constipated alcoholic) There are a lot of others, but these are just terrible. One band I ALWAYS listen to is Pink Floyd. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

I dislike a lot of stuff that is overplayed, more than a band in a genre; think "Stairway to Heaven" and "Freebird" for starters with "Money" and "Time" right there in the running. Same for other stuff from Zepplin, the Who, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Skynyrd, and plenty of others. But at the same time, all these bands have some great songs that I really enjoy. That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation." Beatles. Very overrated. I do like parts of Sgt. Pepper but that is all. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. The Michigan Madman)
