Thanks to this thread I just watched the first two episodes. Don’t care for Dichen Lachman myself (if she’s even appeared yet) but the gal playing the part of Ortez definitely gets my attention! Martha Higareda is the name I believe...

Dichen plays the main character's dead sister. She appears in episode 1 when he's sitting on the breakwater contemplating his meeting with the murder victim.

Watched episode 1 last night. I liked it well enough. Or at least well enough to give it another try. Wife did not like it at all. (She didn't much like Blade Runner, either, IIRC.)

Only time I watch TV is in the evening, with my wife. Means I probably won't see any more of it.

My wife likes it, my wife likes it, my wife likes it, my wife likes it, my wife likes it...

So happy, simply can't believe it. She hated the new Blade runner and generally dislikes anything sci-fy related. Would not even try to explain ciberpunk to her unless I wanted to get hurt. Cool

My wife likes it! I feel blessed.

If you liked the Martha Higareda character in the first couple episodes, you will really like her in a few more episodes. BTW, she is smoking hot. Big Grin

I find Dichen Lachman to be exotic and very pretty.

I find those statements to be true. Cool

0-0,
Glad you wife likes the show. My guess is it may have something to do with her inner 14 year old and the main character. Big Grin

Ok, made through episode #8, changing my previous observation that Dichen Lachman is very pretty to freaking smoking HAWT!!!!!!! Big Grin

Of course just when I think I have decided on my next future ex wife, episode #9 shows that Martha Higareda is just absolutely stunningly beautiful.......decisions, decisions... Cool

Seeing much more of her now, and I remember her from "The 100" or whatever that other show she was in. She just doesn't do anything for me. But the Ortega chick??? She's getting hotter and hotter!!!

It's the internet. There is no requirement for insight. Some people like a show, others don't. Some people feel the need to explain, others to just chime in and say "not me."

Even negative statements can be appreciated. Others might find they have similar tastes and dislikes.

I'm really liking it, but my wife and another lady I know are not all that excited about it.

Everyone is drooling over the women, which is typical. But I actually like Joel Kinnaman, so that's my my main draw to the series. It's too bad that he has stated he won't be returning for season 2, if it's renewed.

The tool used in episode 5 for the attack at the end is grusome. That is just insane.

I think that is part of the appeal. We don’t see the sleeve (body) Tak is wearing at the very end as he leaves to go after his “princess”.
