Not all... But a majority.

I mean, in addition to the social/cultural aspect of being hard-drinking, blue collar, early-20th-century Brits, they run a pub and do most of their business out of there. Later, they own a distillery, and run a bootlegging operation into Prohibition America.

So yeah, a large chunk of both their business and leisure is alcohol-based. In most scenes, one or more people will have a drink handy.


And even booze aside, if you didn't like Boardwalk Empire, you probably won't like Peaky Blinders. Not exactly the same, but fairly similar in tone, setting, and characters.

I liked Boardwalk, but, give the subject matter, I had to move on. I guess I’ll give Peaky Blinders a miss.

I find this is the best course of action, whether it be a series on Netflix, a book, or even halfway through a movie. No reason to waste any more time on a dud.

Well, like my buddy says, with all the cable TV and streaming options, the sheer amount of available programming is absolutely insane. This ain't the only three major networks and movie theater days anymore. There's so much chaff to sift through. My friend watches a lot of TV, and he can't even keep up with the shows he likes, let alone the dozens/hundreds of losers and mediocre ones he also follows. So, it totally makes sense that there would be so many shows that the public would bail on. There's just too much content these days.

For me, I'm extremely choosy on which shows I decide to watch. A full season of a show is an incredible amount of time suckage, let alone catching up on multiple seasons. I also hate binge watching. I like to savor my shows.

sounds vague cause that was about as interesting as the show was

poorly acted, dubbed horribly,
