Way back in the 1900's , just after the internet was born. There was a three hour doc. About radio stations that people had , but were limited to a very sort radius . I want to say a mile , but on a.m. the "skip" could transmit many miles. They featured three people in the U.S. , one in Canada and one on a boat. One station talked about sports crap for six hours, another was all Beatles for three hours. I.i.r.c. they were not "pirate" stations, because they followed the power regs. But it covered the pirate issues. I don't remember who did it or if it was PBS. I guess the Internet made those tiny stations extinct , Or Did it ? Someone at the U of Iowa broadcasted from the dorms one summer. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first | ||
