Not sure what it is but this song is so captivating...

Is it the late 80s manic/odious tones..
A few short years later in college making Music for the Masses top album of mine...
Or rediscovering the CD single a month prior to 9/11 and it somehow bringing a nostalgic feel good and a weird things are too good to last but have no idea how bad things are about to go...

I must have bought every remixes there are of Strangelove and Personal Jesus. Music for the Masses and Violator were great albums. After that, they changed things up and I lost interest.

I still made sure BTW and Route 66 are on my playlist during road trips. Especially while driving at night.
