| Once you watch Oppenheimer (recommend the 4k blu ray, it’s 5 stars), watch Peaky Blinders on Netflix. Best series I have ever watched and Cillian Murphy is the main reason why.

Eye on the Silver Lining
| It seemed very long. We watched as a family during Christmas holidays one night. I gave up and went to bed eventually.

| The movie was okay, worth the watch but not a purchase as one time is enough. My main complaint was what seemed like unprompted jumping in the timeline. I found myself sometimes only realizing later that they had gone forward or back in time. There wasn't any indication, only that it didn't make sense and HAD to be a time change.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should
| Good acting. The basic story is well known if you've read the history. Impressive visuals. I watched on my Ipad with earbuds, not sure if that gave me the full visual effects. Some artistic liberties taken with the story to make it more interesting. The Einstein vs Oppenheimer relationship for example was puffed up a lot based on historic accounts. Much of it is about the politics of the time with the the tremendous scale of the project not really shown. Touched a bit on the moral dilemmas but that part is probably thought about a lot more in the present day than it was in real time. In spite of the revisionists today, it did end the war that would have eventually been won anyway but at who knows what cost.

| I liked it; however for me I am far more into Nolans Scifi than this. I'm very glad I watched it, I liked it very much, I probably wont revisit it unless someone else hasn't seen it or wants to watch it.
Those things aren't a ding on the movie, its very well acted, I thought everyone was great, the story is interesting and well presented as long as you can deal with Nolan's core mechanic of time jumping and the score overriding or drowning dialogue at times. If anything that mechanic is toned down I think comparatively to his other work.
If you are interested in the moral conflict of dropping the bomb I suggest Dan Carlins podcast (not sure if he puts them out in other formats) "Logical Insanity". |

Partial dichotomy
| I haven't watched it yet, but now I'm prepared to be watching for these strange time shifts. Since everyone feels this way, was this intentional by Nolan? If it's that obvious, he must have known it.

Get Off My Lawn
| I liked it a lot, especially the 2nd time I viewed it. The first time in an IMAX film theater, and the 2nd time I borrowed the Blu Ray from the library, which was nice because I could pause, reverse it a bit to catch the dialog. Not my favorite Nolan film, but I still liked it. The time shifts or flashbacks were not a big deal for me, I thought that part was well done. I mean, movies like Pulp Fiction, Citizen Kane used a similar non-linear technique. But it is a film one must concentrate, pay attention, there is a lot going on.

Cogito Ergo Sum
| Waited to stream it as 3 hours is much too long for me to sit in a theater. I liked it. Way better movie than Barbie. |

Get my pies outta the oven!
| I saw it in the theater and thought it was decent. Yes, it's very long and I'm still perplexed at how the Left seems to universally adore this man and the subject given their typical stance on nuclear weapons.

While the story features Oppenheimer the most, you can make the case that the movie itself is about the downfall of Lewis Strauss being rejected for Secretary of Commerce. If you ever wonder why some scenes in Oppenheimer are in black and white, it's because those scenes are told from the perspective of Strauss instead of Oppenheimer. The primary reason of Strauss's nomination being rejected is his personal vendetta against Oppenheimer to remove all of his political influence. That is told through the "hearing" orchestrated against Oppenheimer when the renewal of his Q clearance comes up which causes the narrative to jump back and forth in time with the "hearing" as the movie correctly points out that it was not a trial. |
