Back in the day, I watched enough Phil to know he mentioned his disdain for masculinity several times. Few did more to toxify our culture than Phil Donahue.

Watched his shows back when, depending on the guest. He was too...and got worse later in his career. TBH, one of my best memories of him was the parody that Leslie Nielsen did in "The Naked Gun 33 1/3".
