I can only remember a high school buddy of mine wearing out Moody Blues cassettes. He just listened to them over and over and…………you get it.

I almost missed the whole 8 track experience. However, my buddies older brother went into the Navy and left his ten year old 1971 Mustang fastback in the driveway. Most days after school in the 8th grade we would put $2 or $3 of lunch money in the tank and drive around the neighborhood listening to ZZ Top Deguello over and over again. "I'm bad, I'm nationwide" and "Cheap Sunglasses." Good times! I have a few SIGs.

I put an after market 8 track in my 1968 Mustang. My 2 I can remember was Santana Abraxas and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Had 2 others but don't remember them. I did this to drive home when on leave from San Diego to New York City. 1969-1972. A lot of dead FM spot thru route 10 or 40.

I remember my buddy and I wearing out his 8-track of "Best of Bread", tooling around in his Plymouth Road Runner, filling up at pre-embargo gas @ $.40/gal.
