The Love Boat went for 9 seasons and The Antiques road show is up over 779 episodes , now.

I liked watching love boat to see who would be guest starring this week only about a quarter of the guests were any good at all .

And the Antiques R.S. well, its just 85% well done , good show.

I thought why not combine the two for a weekly tv show.

show premise:
34 y.o Allen opens a letter from an attourney , it seems he is mentioned in a family trust
there is a position open in St. Louis as a curator of the holdings .

He visits a 3600 sq ft ,2 1/2 story home w/ 5 bd rms and three baths, on 7 acres, with four out bldgs. and meets a lawyer,
the home contains the furnishings ,tools, artworks , two vehicles a motorcycle and memories and collections of over 54 past members of the Mullholland family tree, dating back to 1836.

His job would be to live in the home and collect , care for and archive the old and new items that come in from family members.

Imagine The antiques road show and all of its facinating objects,
combined with The Love Boat and an ever changing guest stars and Quantum Leap ,visiting families and individuals of years gone by and the pbs show, Finding your Roots.

Each week a new show would show the viewers an object passed down from aunts, great uncles, and many great grandfathers and then would show us the family member
or
three and frends, co-workers or neighbors, then how the object got in to the family and any significance or provinance it held.

Sometimes antique dealers would seek Allen out to purchase stuff, sometimes guests of the house would be seeking information about their family and the connection with the Mullholand family.

at least 50 differant stories about the family friends and employees of the Mullholand family members.

sometimes the story would involve a "brush" with a great public figure or a particular memorable event, sometimes the stories would be of a members great loss of one type or another.

Each would contain some history , some lesson learned and someone at some point doing the right thing for either their benifit or someone Else's benefit.

another actor would play an occasional reoccuring role as a genealogist,shedding light on who knew whome and for what reason.
no massive car crashes, no blood,guts, expolsions, super hero's, zoombie's ,vampire's, autopsies,
murder, flagrently inappropriate abuse, so, it might not fly .

example: an 11 piece desk set comes to being appraised because Allen is approached by the great grand child of the person who gave it to Allens ancestor,
we go on to learn about the desk set, the person who gifted it and for what reason, and the three people who eventually got it to the current location.

So each week we meet new guest stars, new characters, new geneology, history and some unique antiques.

example 2:
A dozen signed ,autographed 1st edition , children's books.

the story :

A lady in the family was a librarian at three elementary schools, for 27 years.
She would get the 1st edition books in .
and when they went on the best seller list , eventually ,
she would buy the second edition and replace it with the first edition ,
then send that off to to get signed by the author.
