Borderlands the games are fun, they announce a movie and I'm skeptical because Hollywood has a long, proud, tradition of fucking things up. See the trailer and it's rather meh. Like if it was 1996 it would be pretty decent, but these days we want our nerd shit to be a little better.

Reckon I'll end up watching the first 30-45 minutes of it on Prime in 3 or 4 years, before something better catches my eye and I wander off. Shame, because as I said, Borderlands is fun.

I enjoyed the games too. But the movie makes Furiosa look GREAT!

Instead of getting better it keeps getting worse.

I caught it on YouTube last night.
Usually when I watch something, I sit down and watch it.
This was one I could get up and do other stuff while it went through its runtime.

I can forgive a lot about the movie considering all the references to the game; however, the fact that Jack Black is voicing Claptrap instead of David Eddings, the voice actor for the games, annoyed me enough that I couldn't continue watching the movie.

I heard the movie was bad, so I’ll wait for when it gets to free streaming and take a look then. I had never played the games, but the announcement of the movie made me give them a look, so I wouldn’t be completely lost. I’m playing the first Borderlands game right now and enjoying it so far.

I didn't hate this film as much as I thought. I just thought it was "meh." Jack Black is really annoying, and I've never liked him in anything except Bernie and The Jackal. It's a loud, obnoxious, and silly movie, but I feel that way about most Marvel and comic book movies too, including many beloved by the public and fans.
