You definitely saw a different movie than I did. Very good post. Agreed, didn't feel like it was over the top . I thought the same thing about the gun. At some point they take it for their collection. I enjoyed it, especially the fight with the bear. Pretty good storyline and action. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

I'd give it 2 out of 5 stars. If I wasn't feeling ill and couldn't fast-forward, I'd never have finished it. It's just not realistic within the series world. If the first movie could decimate Arnold and crew with modern weapons, we are somehow supposed to think a single girl, with primitive weapons, could take one out? Right.... __________________________

I didn’t hate it. Yes the girl Indian was the classic girl power nonsense. As for these primitives winning, well yea that’s just plain stupid. Still didn’t hate the movie though.

:SPOILER: This predator was a different species. Maybe not as tough or bad ass as the one in the first movie. Maybe he was also more primitive and animalistic rather than cunning and calculated and used to hunting bears and animals rather than witty humans. As for girl power it showed her being either rescued or overpowered by the boys several times and the only reason she was able to defeat it was because her brother fucked him up so bad. I didn't feel any wokeness here and I'm usually hyper aware of it.

Remember this Predator and its technology is 300 years more primitive than the Predator in the original movie. I also got the vibe this was a first or one of the first visits to Earth given how the Predator seemed to be working its way up the hierarchy of Earth predators: snake, wolf, bear, etc. Spoiler: | | | | | | | Did it seem odd to any of you that the Predator didn't seem to understand how the red dot sighting system on his skull helmet worked? The girl figured it out the first time the skull got knocked off his head and the three dots centered on the tree kept sending the bolts that way, no matter where he aimed the firing tube. When the Predator is rising up out of the quicksand and pointing its weapon at her, how did he expect to hit her if it didn't know where the red dot was trained?

NOT compromised! |
She wasn't perfect. She really screwed up her encounter with the mountain lion and wound up injuring herself. Her brother had to save her and carry her back to camp...
