Happy Birthday, Mr. President (not sung in Marilyn's sexy voice).

I'm greatly enjoying Ron Chernow's biography "Washington: A Life". It deals with the highs and lows of Washington's character; and points out again and again how truly unusual Washington was.

I won't go into detail here, just wanted to make a strong recommendation to read the book. I also enjoyed the same author's books on Grant and Hamilton.

We need to go back to the good ol’ days when we celebrated George’s
birthday all by itself! If anyone deserves it it’s Washington!
You’ll enjoy “Wasington’s Sacred Fire” as well. Puts any notion to rest that he may
have been a deist!

I highly recommend the book, Washington’s Crossing, which won the Pulitzer Prize. This is an outstanding book and really shows what a tremendous leader George Washington was.

Almost finished with Chenow book, Washington: A Life. I’m listening to it on Audible. So much I never knew about Washington or the time period. At one point he had to borrow 100 pounds to attend his inauguration as the first US President.
