Thank you Very little |
Ford Mustang holds the lead and best lap in LMGT3, which is the best class, closer to real "production" style cars with Corvette Z06, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston, BMW

Yep. I love listening to NASCAR fans whine that it's slowly become GT3CAR while the GT3 cars are closer to a stock car than what they drive. Sadly, Callum Illot had a crash during night practice that almost guarantees his Hertz Team JOTA Porsche is starting in 8th and probably won't take place in Hyperpole.

I would love to see that NASCAR Camaro back at LeMans, or a Ford Mustang, maybe two, that probably got more people watching LeMans than Ford Vs Ferrari movie.

Valentino Rossi is driving the BMW on the Team WRT. #46, which was his number in MotoGP. Down in 50th in qualifying What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

There is a Mustang in the GT3 class. I wonder why they changed the name to Hypercar? What was wrong with LMP1? Those Hypercars look awesome.

LMP1 was becoming a F1 level money suck so they simplified the formula which attracted a lot more manufacturers instead of Toyota vs the Nobodies. In addition, with very minor changes, a Hypercar team can run the WEC and IMSA which all the Cadillac Racing entries along with several other teams (Porsche Penske) are IMSA teams running at LeMans.

So far, it's Penske Perfect on Hypercar pole.

Kevin Estre is the real deal. He is a Porsche factory driver known for his amazing braking.. Here’s a video of him in the Nurembergring 24 last year… https://youtu.be/WHXXWVhQp7M?si=FtHLEc9hxcIqGIrr ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

Aside from broadening the scope of what qualifies for inclusion in the category, the use of the term loosely jibes with the so-called hypercar moniker out here in regular road-going world. In other words, currently what car-loving humans label as the ultimate sports car, at least as it goes for 2024. So marketing plays a role. However it would be somewhat nicer if certain hypercar brands actually participated in the WEC Hypercar category. The Bugattis back in their day built racers in tandem with their road cars. So did the Bentley boys for that matter, though these days the brand isn't known for sports cars. However VeeDub should've done the same with Bugatti of today, though I get why (for now) they chose to let Porsche and Lambo represent the corporate monolith in the category. I'm well aware that I'm being perhaps obtusely literal and I know that his road car operation is relatively small, but to me any so-called "hypercar" racing category isn't complete without a Gordon Murray creation. Or something from Horacio Pagani, when it comes down to it. And something from the company that uses a 3-pointed star as their symbol. I mean, what road-going supercar let alone hypercar has Toyota built lately? Just saying. Yet I imagine some if not all participants would shit all over themselves if the FIA mandated that a minimum number of road-going versions of their 'hypercars' had to be built, like they used to require once upon a time for past categories. Well at least Toyota didn't name their racer a Camry... -MG

I don't know who is running the video in this broadcast but they seem to like to revert back to video that happened hour(s)+ ago and not aligned with the topics the commentators are discussing. The current rain is definitely putting a damper on the race at this time. Nice to see Cadillac racing and Corvette racing standing up well so far in their classes There is an official website https://www.24h-lemans.com/en Pronoun: His Royal Highness and benevolent Majesty of all he surveys 343 - Never Forget Its better to be Pavlov's dog than Schrodinger's cat There are three types of mistakes; Those you learn from, those you suffer from, and those you don't survive.

That's the world feed. It's also on Motortrend as well, but you're stuck with random commercials. I can safely say that Alpine/Renault is equally worthless in the WEC as they are in F1. Both cars are done with mechanical DNFs. I'm also bummed about the #3 Cadillac as well, but at least the #2 is still in the Top 5.

Well shit, it was Ferrari/Toyota/Ferrari and it wasn't even Robert Kubica's Ferrari, either.
