Has anyone else watched this Netflix movie? It is a documentary detailing systematic doping of Russian athletes in the Sochi Olympics (and probably before). I really enjoyed it.

An interesting documentary that really demonstrates the high stakes involved in these sports and the incentives provided not just the participants, but the state sponsors to win. A fictional Netflix series that also relates to this topic is the excellent (but at only six episodes, far too short) is the German offering "The Same Sky". In it, a young, East German (DDR) girl who hopes to be an Olympic swimming contestant, is coerced into taking testosterone, at the insistence of her coaches and family, to meet the demands of nearly everyone around her. Its a great series about the realities of socialism before the fall of the USSR and I'm looking forward to the next season in 2018. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5424556/ "I'm not fluent in the language of violence, but I know enough to get around in places where it's spoken."

Yes. It started out as an amateur cyclist riding the Haunt Route seeing if he could get away with doping. It goes from there. Very interesting, but I think some of it was backward engineered. For example he doped and rode worse than what he did last year. Got to keep the integrity of the main character in tact. But, I've always said Armstrong won 7 times because everyone does it. Everyone. I'm not a fan of Armstrong I find him legally going after people despicable for something he knew he was doing. It is an eye opening account of what goes on in amateur sports as well. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!
