Watching that guy making his trek was extremely unnecessary.

I don't know. I kind of enjoyed watching somebody do something hard as shit once he made up his mind. That character has sand and is an ethical human being.

And regarding your quote from earlier, I wish Carol would ask them to shorten the message on the recording. Sometimes I think about also wandering off and doing something while it’s playing.

I kept waiting for her to call back right after a request:

"And another thing, I don't need a goddamn recording. I got the fucking message. Make it a beep or something shorter."

I'm quickly losing interest in this series.

Good job getting offended. I've only watched a couple episodes of this, but have a shocking reveal for you; We are all lesbo, and gay, and mass murderers.

I think your interest may have waned before the first credits....

It's bizarre, but catchy in a WTH!!! sort of way.

Actually, it turns out there is an excellent reason for making her gay. Carol talks about something that happened to her on account of being gay which is a great reveal to why she is so resistant to "the Others."

I absolutely love this show. The writers have done an amazing job of subverting every trope and cliche of the alien invasion genre -- excepting where the writers wanted to satirize those tropes and cliches.

The first episode was fantastic television. By the end watching became like doing your homework. And, the finale was a big fizzle. If there's a second season I'll watch, but the pace had better pick up.

I agree with others that it's quite boring. Nothing like Vince Gilligan's "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" in story progression.

I guess I must just be easily entertained. I've really enjoyed the show and I wish it hadn't had such a short season.

Who hasn't thought "What if everyone went away and I was the last one standing".

The scenes in Peru with the young lady that voluntarily joined were pretty trippy. It's like the Plurbs just kept up the illusion of things being normal then as soon as she joined they just said fuck it and left the village. Poor baby goat was like WTF.

There needs to be a better way to handle response times in the universe. If they’re consolidating resources, Carol shouldn’t be able to receive an entire store’s worth of goods within fifteen minutes of her calling.

The episode where she’s burying her partner, the helicopter and excavator shows up within minutes of her chaperone arriving at the house.

She calls for mail to be picked up and a drone shows up out of nowhere even though the Others have evacuated the town. Even if one of them drove into town and flew the drone to her house, it should still take time for all that to happen.

Mrs Pulicords and I really enjoyed the season and we're looking forward to the next one. I wish the finale would have had a bigger reveal (like maybe Carol really did have an "ATOM Bomb"?), but the slow burn buildups as is typical of Gilligan's style force the viewers to try and read the minds of those involved to solve the puzzle before it's provided. Kind of like the teddy bear in the swimming pool in the Breaking Bad series.

If (as I suspect) the series has a second season next year, we'll be watching it.
