Springtime has its benefits. Across the street from a restaurant area under the speedway, tonight there must be a special event as i can hear a jazzy quartet playing. Hear an electric guitar, drums, bass and piano. A trumpet and a saxo showing up discreetly sometimes.

Memories of Chick Corea and Pat Metheny maybe?

Pros and cons of my apartment, often the street sounds sound like coming from the next room. Even whispered conversations in the quiet of the night.

Enjoying the music, it was my favorite during my twenties.

That sounds like a wonderful moment. Smile I’m inspired- Tomorrow night after work I’ll put some jazz records on.

Oh YES! Couldn’t stop in one place going up and down Bourbon Street.
Missed not being the beer drinking type of fellow to enjoy it in some distorted kind of way.

Went twice, once with friends. Absolutely loved the ambience, the music and the display of titties.
Would have been titties and beer (F. Zappa) all the way but as i said, no beer for me.
A rubby tuesday now and then but guess it was more rhum or vodka oriented at the time.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Big Grin

While they were extremely short trips each time, I made it a matter of honor to visit NOLA, Chicago and a few places in NYC (BCBG, Strawberry Fields, etc.) where i could enjoy the music scene.

Small bars here and there between the East and West coast and in between.
Once we drove from NYC to Atlanta and Miami with a couple of friends. Good times.
