I've been watching this from the beginning and I know that it's some remake bullshit that hasn't been too well received by the critics.

But... I like to watch it. Thank heaven for DVR. Last weeks episode. Hostage situation, big gunfight about to happen.

The clip has a line in it that totally cracked me up. Almost fell off my chair.

Probably so. But that wasn't really the point of the thread.

Maybe, maybe not.

Remember NYPD Blue? It thrived for years after they booted Caruso after the first season.

He wanted too much $$ so they axed him and re-cast the main guy.

If the show is good it could survive without Paxton (RIP Bill!).

We love it. I think the character development was going well and mindless action is a wonderful escape. We are big Paxton fans around here. When they filmed Twister, he made a lot of fans and friends.

I have been binge watching the episodes and didn't make the connection about Bill Paxton dying.

I was surprised he's 60 years old. The character appears years younger like maybe 40. He looked pretty good for a 60 year old.

It was based on the movie but I think the storylines are completely different between the tv series and the movie. Bill Paxton is white </dry humor>.

I like the thesis that the young guy is sent to spy on the old guy and maybe the old guy is all gold anyways and just skirts the law sometimes.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
