The Night Agent is based on a book by Matthew Quirk. I just happened to finish the audio book a few days before the series was released. I checked out the book because it was only $4.99. The series followed the book about 60%. The killers in the book were the Russians. The main bad guy did not have a sociopath women as a lover\Killing partner.
