Once upon a time in the early 1970's a relative in the family treated us kids to see the Globetrotters in Fayetteville, NC. Curly and Meadowlark played then, quite a show...and helped endear us to watch their cartoon show too. It was a grand time. Thanks, Mr. Neal!

I thought he had died long time ago and been replaced by younger Curleys several times.

My paternal grandfathers nickname was Curlee.

He was 77. Seeing him while I was a little kid is probably why I'm sure I thought he was much older.
Thanks for the memories, Curley.

I saw them once, late 70s / early 80s I'm sure. Tons of fun. Meadowlark Lemon, too.

RIP.

You're obviously confusing the Globetrotters with the Three Stooges.

Saw him as a kid a couple times. Once you hear that sweet georgia brown, you can't get it out of your head.
