"12 Strong" and "The 15:17 to Paris" pique my interest...

I’ll probably skip 15:17 to Paris

It reminds me of another Clint Eastwood movie....Sully....where pretty much the entire basis of the story happens in 2 minutes, and the rest of the movie is spent retelling that 2 minutes, or on creating drama and intrigue where there really was none (in sully, for example, the faa hearings were drastically different than they were in real life to create a “villain” and bring drama to the story)

I saw the trailer for the horror movie, and it’s intriguing

My in laws gave me 6 months of free movies for Christmas (I can literally see a movie a day for 6 months) so I will probably end up seeing most of them

Red Sparrow (2018), Francis Lawrence 2 March 2018 (USA)
Death Wish (2018), Eli Roth 2 March 2018 (USA)
7 Days in Entebbe (2018) 16 March 2018 (USA)
Isle of Dogs (2018), Wes Anderson theater 23 March 2018 (USA)
Ready Player One (2018), Steven Spielberg 30 March 2018 (USA)
Lean on Pete (2017), Andrew Haigh 30 March 2018 (USA) **
The Rider (2018), Chloé Zhao 104 13 April 2018 (USA)
Sicario 2: Soldado (2018), Stefano Sollima 29 June 2018 (USA)

I pretty much decide what I'm going to see regardless of reviews (which I don't read until after I've seen it anyway).

With regard to "Sully", I enjoyed Eastwood's storytelling, while fully understanding the sequencing and compression of the FAA hearings was entirely b.s. To the extent it happens in "15:17", I'll understand it's a movie not a documentary. From the trailer and some recollection of the characters at the time, I am looking for a spiritual message as well.

Got my wife "Victoria and Abdul" for Christmas. We watched it last night. Paraphrasing the opening leadin: this movie is based on true/actual events...mostly. That is the lens I try to view the big screen titles based on real life
