Help! Help! I'm being repressed! |
Heard this song the first time today. Brought back some childhood memories. My mom had some friends that were victims of domestic violence. The memory that popped into my head was of one of these women hiding at our house and being paranoid that her husband would show up looking for her. This was in the '80s. Big hair and chain smoking cigarettes and peeking out the blinds every couple of minutes. I couldn't have been more than 4 or 5.

Damn. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

This is a great song and has beautiful melodies. It's a favorite of mine. As a cop, the residential entry and murder of the asshole boyfriend always make me laugh when it comes on the radio. They get it right from start to finish though. Guy finds girl, avenges her, and pays the price. What a waste.
