What Rolan said. I had to go back and look at it again.

What a couple of terrific stories. Thank you for sharing them and congrats on the CUT. Sean Connery gave you that nickname, that is just so cool. Then Elmer Keith too, simply awesome.

I've met a few celebrities while on duty. When I was in the Mounted Unit we escorted the Queen of England to Church Hill Downs in Louisville for the KY Derby. Met several during the World Equestrian Games at the KY Horse Park in 2010. I got a picture with Jesse James when he was in Iraq shooting an episode of Monster Garage. He offered to pin stripe one of my ASV's.

Okay, late to the party...way late! Very cool stories and everyone should read this thread. Like Rolan and sigfreund, I thought the photo was just part of the cast. How very interesting, Frank!

Awesome! Some real living history there. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

And I liked the bridge scene where Connery fires the Tommy Gun and says "Enough of this running ****"

Very misleading title to this thread.

But it's an awesome thread non the less. I finally had to see why it's been so popular, now I know.

I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaay late to the party. Thread title definitely misleading... I've read it every time I come into the lair but never clicked on it... Two nights ago my dad and I watched "The Untouchables" on dvd that I had purchased probably 6 months ago still in the wrapper... I come in here with it fresh in my mind and decide to click on it.

WOW! That's incredible.. Personally receiving a nickname from Sean Connery. So very awesome. And that photo, at first glance I just assumed you were the Canadian Mountie or something. Smile

Appreciate the kind words Gentleman!

I added "Me and the Cast" to the TITLE line. Maybe a bit less confusing now.

I'm thankful for the sticky, lest I would have missed it.

Very cool FN in MT. One of my favorite movies and the character of Sean Connery is one I've come to admire; an old-seasoned veteran in a dangerous job (be it LE/Military), still maintaining the standard.

People want to know why the thread is still up. It's up because it's neat. It's as simple as that.

Our intrepid board member pretty much blends in with the rest of the cast in the pic.

Go to page 2, and what do you see? He's hanging out with the legendary Elmer Keith.

Meeting Connery and the cast of the film is cool, but meeting Keith is incredible!
