Steve Winwood remains relevant all these years later. He began playing professionally at such a young age that he’s still younger at 75 than his contemporaries. This perf is just cool, fromthe Blind Faith album.
Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton are huge influences on my taste in music. I guess in some circles it has become fashionable to denigrate Clapton. It occurs to me that the word “supergroup” is thrown around almost indiscriminately. Albeit arguable, when Clapton and Winwood were/are together, you would be hard pressed to convince me that they aren’t the ultimate.

SW is only 15 yoa but he is singing with an old man's voice in this early video. Pure Talent!
He took some cues from Ray Charles, didn’t he. He can play every instrument on the stage too. He played all the instruments on the Arc of a Diver album.

I have so many favorite performers but Steve Winwood is at the top of the list. A little trivia is that the Spencer Davis Group's bass player is SW's older brother, Buck.
This one is one of my favorites, love the song and the video.
