It's vulgar, silly, unbelievable, but I must admit that the new Netlix movie "The Wrong Missy" is pretty damn funny. It's about a guy that meets a girl on a blind date that is the epitome of a date from hell. He manages to escape and figures that's the end of that. A few weeks later, he meets another woman that is certainly "interesting" and hopes to spend more time with her at a retreat that his employer is setting up in Hawaii. Unfortunately, the guy texts his invitation to the wrong "Missy", resulting in some pretty funny/cringe-worthy situations.
Totally crude, but David Spade's straight-man to the crazy antics of Lauren Lapkus (Missy) was a pretty enjoyable diversion.

My wife and I watched it this evening. We both got a few good laughs out of it

I’m not a prude but I didn’t find it funny to try to shock me with how disgusting you can be. That movie could have decent but every time she talked she went more and more disgusting. Which I didn’t find funny. David Spade was great. All the Adam Sandler B characters were done right. The main actress though was like an over engineered Melissa MacArthy from that wedding movie. Way overdone.

Tried watching it but couldn't get past the opening blind date at the bar scene. What a bat-shit crazy over-the-top wacko obnoxious excuse for a woman that character is/was.

That Missy was like finger nails on a blackboard to me. I tried based on the positive comments here, but just couldn't get past 15 minutes.

Wife and I watched it over the weekend and almost turned it off but glad we stuck with it...yes, Missy was a little over the top but sometimes it is just fun to laugh at dumb shit.
On another note, Spade is looking a tad beat up these days

Need to stick it out a bit longer. She gets more tolerable as the movie progresses. I, too, was wondering if we'd make it past about a half hour.

I turned it off right about that time too.
Tried to sleep, couldn’t, turned it back on for lack of any other option and it ended up being an okay movie. Push through a little more.
It could have been better. They had a lot of really funny ideas that they didn’t take full advantage of. I rarely say this about a comedy movie but it could here been longer to let them setup the scenes better. But it was entertaining for sure.
