That looks really good! As I posted in the book thread, I’m reading The Count of Monte Cristo right now. I’ve come to really appreciate Dumas as one of the best. _______________________________________________________ despite them

This might be good. I'm a fan of the 70's Muskateer movies. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

Can’t wait. Eva Green is a great choice as Milady de Winter ___________________________ No thanks, I've already got a penguin.

Looks very much like Brotherhood of the Wolf, to which I enjoy very much. Especially the rain scene which this trailer seems to open with as well. I am in. Being a Musketeer myself and all ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

D'Artagnan will be released in US theaters on Friday, December 8, 2023, also coming to VOD and Digital on the same day. Milady, however, won't be released in the US until a year later, with the film currently set to hit the States in December 2024. https://collider.com/the-three...gy-dartagnan-milady/ https://www.fandango.com/the-t...34116/movie-overview Owner, TonyBen, LLC, Type-07 FFL www.tonybenm14.com (Site under construction). e-mail: tonyben@tonybenm14.com

I watched it on a flight to the UK. It was enjoyable. Much better than many of the more recent adaptations. "You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground." - Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer")

Well, I guess it's not in theaters, or at least any I can find, but it was released on Apple and Amazon for rent or buy. It's pretty good! There's no race swapping, gender swapping or politics in it but there's one groaner moment that lasts a few seconds where it pans on one of the musketeers the morning after a night of drunkenness and debauchery. He's sleeping between a woman and a man. A conversation from the night before jokes that he's pretty care free about pleasures. Don't know if it was meant to be comedy or not, but that was as woke as the film gets. Eva Green is HOT and she does well in this movie! The queen's servant is played by the same french girl from The French Dispatch. I liked the tone and the action. Aside from the one scene, I liked it. It wasn't campy at all and I liked the cinematography and the score. I never read the book, so I can't say if the movie stayed true to the book or not. There are major differences between this one and the one from the 70's. This one is much more serious. Tony.
