“Captain Harrison Love”: [having just shot “3 Finger Jack”] “Strange, actually. This is the second time I've shot this man while he was flying through the air.” Again, “movie physics in action”, violating all 3 of Newton’s Laws of Physics. “3 Finger Jack”, weighing about 200 lbs, is launched into the air from a small track ore car at approximately 10 MPH. 2nd Law: Force = Mass x Acceleration. “Captain Love” shoots him while in flight with his Colt Patterson Texas Revolver (caliber .36), and “3 Finger” is halted in mid air by the impact of the bullet and falls in a heap to the ground. 1st Law: Bodies in motion/rest stay in motion/rest unless a large external force is applied. “Captain Love” is still standing with revolver in hand, looking none the worse for wear from the tremendous force of recoil that had to have occurred to perform such an action. 3rd Law: For every action, there is an equal an opposite reaction. And that is why Hollywood is all MAKE BELIEVE. --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! But surely when an actor died on screen, that person has been killed in real life too, yes?

^ I think that's only if you die in a dream. I learned that watching Dreamscape. Yeah, well, it's Zorro. I really love that movie. Banderas was amazing, Zeta-Jones was in her prime, and Anthony Hopkins had an amazing film presence. Really, that 'blown backwards after being shot' thing is everywhere. Also, people tend to die instantly when shot by even a small handgun. People 'cock their Glocks.' In Ant Man, they even had a scene where ants climbed onto a shooter's gun hand to physically block the EXTERNAL HAMMER on a Glock (I mean, why didn't they just make them Beretta 92s or ANYTHING else with an external hammer?) In The Patriot, people routinely made 100 yard one-shot-kill shots with smoothbore musket pistols from horseback. But, it looks good on screen and most people don't care. It is called "Rule of Cool" for a reason. Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher | |||
