For those complaining about the gun fight how would you have done it differently given the story line???
They were just women surviving they weren’t skilled or trained fighters or shooters probably never thought a second about gun fight tactics a day in their lives??

Would the boys from Blackdom gotten to La Belle before Frank and crew showed up? Would we have seen those Buffalo Soldiers handle business??

How would you have done it differently?

We finished this lat weekend, and I thought it was great. Of course it had its flaws, but it was one of the best westerns I have seen in a while.

Finished it last night. A very satisfactory ending for me. I too love a good western, my two favorite are The Searchers and Unforgiven, I credit my late father and our move to Tucson a looong time ago. We would go out to Old Tucson to watch the filming of High Chaparral lol.

****SPOILERS BELOW****

I agree that considering the lack of experience for the women the shootout made a lot of sense. The orders to find a good view of the street for those with some gun handling skill for example. I was also saddened by what happpened to the black soldiers and Whitey’s fate. I hated that knife guy especially.

Way late to this party! But the search function works! Wink

I'm just two episodes into this and was careful reading some of the replies here, though I did see some spoilers. Hopefully I'll forget. Enjoying it so far!

Sounds suspiciously like the plot from one of the Magnificent Seven sequel movies.
