While on radio show in Australia, comedian Rob Schneider opens up about Will Smith-Chris Rock incident.
To be fair, Schneider and Rock are very good friends stretching back to their SNL-days. Nothing new to what he's saying, the difference is he's saying it, whereas most celebrities were quiet or, only offered passing-criticism.

Never was a fan, probably just 2-3 films I’ve ever seen him in, that I thought he did a really good job. Guy is dead to me at this point. 18 years old or something, fine. 50+, no excuse. Fuck him and his wife.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Still convinced the whole thing was a setup to generate buzz about rewards shows no one watches or cares about anymore.

“How can we make this Oscars hit different?”
“Make a G.I. Jane 2 sketch!”
“Oh, that /slaps/.”

Rob Schneider or Will Smith?
Rob seems like a cool dude, toured a gun factory and built an AR, had a positive interaction with police, and anything I’ve seen shows him very unHollywood-like and much more like a normal dude.

Rob does seem like a very normal guy just making a living at what he does. What I noticed years ago, is he’s with a group of loyal friends/comedians who throw bit parts at each other’s movies. I can certainly appreciate relationships like that.

He also does have some conservative views.

We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. And about Will Smith being an asshole, I suppose him getting rid of the original aunt in the prince of bel air and getting her black balled wasn’t a one-off.

I remember the reunion show where he apologized to her. I doubt he personally made up all the money she lost from her career.

I like Rob. It pains me to hear this about Will though. I grew up with Will Smith and really thought his nice guy image was authentic. Very disappointing to hear otherwise. I don't understand why he stays with JPS though. She's got to be bad for his soul....or maybe they were made for each other.

A few members of the Sandler gang have conservative values, though only Schneider and Spade have been more forthcoming about it. (Remember back when Spade paid for the Phoenix, Arizona police force to acquire ARs?)
