I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

Hard to beat Brad Delp.

Sad to hear this though.

Boston is one of my favorite bands and one of the first I really followed as a youngin'. Them and Styx.

Mike Masse has so many excellent covers, but IMO, this is the best:

The Boston playing in the video in the tweet is NOT current Boston lineup at all. They've all been replaced with the exception of Boston's founder Tom Scholz.

If you ask me it's a Boston cover band that Scholz happens to play with occasionally.

No disrespect for the man that died, but I never heard of him. I lost track of Boston after hearing their third album (which I did not buy) and certainly when Delp passed away. Even though I heard the first album hundreds of times, I never tire of it, I still play it today.

Well that's just retarded, WTF would you tweet about a guy passing and use a video that he's not in?

That song was ubiquitous in my first year in the Navy after Afternoon Delight which blared from the speakers in boot camp San Diego.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
