Yeah, that seems to be the consensus. I think the MKE are a touch cheaper, but the PTR come with a welded pic rail, so that's the main trade-off between them.

I recently came across a thread on twitter, where the consensus is that if there's any issue with either clone, replacing the ejector, ejector spring, extractor & spring are all that's really needed to tweak them, and very cheap upgrades.

As with all roller delayed guns, if you want to suppress them, then you need to get a different angled locking piece, but that is also fairly low cost, and easy to swap.

Actually, if you get a full sized MP5 clone, it’s fine suppressed or unsuppressed with the standard 100 degree locking piece. It’s with the shorter receiver K guns that you might have to swap locking pieces. Personally, I prefer the 90 degree LP over the 80 degree for the K.

I replaced the OEM trigger with a two stage/2 lb trigger by Timney. An amazing upgrade!

While I agree that the 100 degree LP is solid for both suppressed and unsuppressed in a full size gun, I believe all the MKE guns ship with a 120 degree LP so I'd recommend swapping that with a 100. I can't say for the other clones. And yeah, 90 for the K should be money with 80 if you're planning on shooting solely suppressed.
