benny6Another M40 done!
I just built and tested this one today. It will be at Talladega this fall. Bartlein CM 4-groove barrel, pillar bedded with carbon fiber pillars.
These are easy to build and bed compared to M14's!

old rugged crossThat is awesome benny. Excellent work. That 06 700 we talked about. I am thinking you need to make it into a budget GAP clone

. Thoughts?

benny6Here's one I did a few months back.
I contour the surface to match the receiver...
I order carbon fiber rod from Amazon and chop it to length and drill it with a 1/4" drill bit in my lathe. I also cut the grooves in the pillars as it gives good features for the epoxy to grab on to.
With these pillars, I torque my action screws to 65 inch pounds.

benny6I added a note while you were typing. I mentioned the groove cuts and the action torque.
You're welcome!
