Never seen it done, but I think it would work. Two things bring me to tears. The unconditional Love of God,the service of the United States Military, past, present, and future. I would rather meet a slick-sleeve private, than a hollywood star!

FWIW I used an XS rail on my RGSR. It has a peep built into the back of it and provides standard picatinny slots for standard scope mounting. I did find that the peep didn't work as well with the full length rail because it cluttered up the sight picture so I cut the XS rail off at the end of the reciever. I have mounts and zeroed both a leupold fxii 2.5x (lightweight) and a vortex 2.5-10 x 32 mil-mil for longer distance. All up with sling and scopes and mag, it weighs either 7.5 or 8.5 lbs. Ken

In researching components for a scout build, I found Brockmans peep sights. I would use an over receiver mounted variable scope and QD rings with it. http://www.brockmansrifles.com...ghts-and-accessories Photos of it via Midway: https://www.midwayusa.com/prod...e-spacing-steel-blue

I did the exact same thing on my Mini-14. It worked perfectly. _____________________________ 'I'm pretty fly for a white guy'.
