I have most of the modern black super rifles, but there's just something about the M1A (specifically the Scout variant) that is an absolute blast. You can't do speed reloads for a damn and the safety is a bitch, but it just doesn't matter.

I agree. There’s just something about wood and steel.
The first rifle I ever owned was a Mini-14 and I shot the crap out of it. That was during the Clinton gun ban so an AR wasn’t really an option at the time. I’ve owned a lot of ARs since that expired but my Mini-14 and SKS havd remained my favorite semi-auto rifles to shoot.
I’m the same about pistols too. I carry a Glock and love the damn thing but I own way more revolvers than I do semi-auto pistols.
