Visiting my favorite taxidermist today, I saw a Henry survival rifle on the wall and we talked about it some. Then he pulled up a TPS over/under setup. I had never seen one before, and it looks pretty neat.

There are several configurations available; this one was .22LR over .410. He said he’s got one in .357 over .410, and that sounds like a neat combination too.

It looks like a single-shot setup on both barrels, and the stock opens up to hold spare ammo.

This fits squarely in the “I don’t need one at all, but it’d be way cool to have” box.

It has an interesting action for sure. I thought regular prices were a bit cheaper than that but what is regular anymore?

A modern rendition of the old military M6 survival rife. Originals were 14” barrels - I think some that made it to civilian hands were given an ATF exemption letter. SA marketed a copy decades ago ( made for them by CZ and imported here. I kept one as a trunk gun on my vehicle for years. Decent concept accurate enough for what it is. Probably the worst trigger you will ever experience though

That’s kinda funny, for some reason.

I don’t remember the price he had on that thing, but I think it was more than the Henry survival rifle he had.
I kinda want one of those, too… maybe just for the novelty.

I had a 22Horent/410 SA/CZ.
I've owned many many firearms with much worse triggers. The trick was getting used to it... long pull, with most of your fingers. I think the sights limited accuracy more than the trigger.
