There are a few variables for handgun ballistics -- bullet type and muzzle velocity are key. But generally the drop to 100 yards is going to be in the 9-12 inches ballpark for a pistol. I've shot a few times at IPSC-sized steel. Aim for a head shot to get a center of torso hit.

If you're ever on the opposite end of the state before you make your decision, drop me a line.

I've got a 9" MCX .300 BLK and an 8" MPX, both suppressed, so you can compare apples to apples. Obviously not a more common AR type platform for either caliber, but more or less what you're choosing between.
