I bought a huge grab bag/box of loose rounds last week and have sifted out all the stuff for which I have guns to put through. I made out great for the handgun and rifle calibers I have.

There’s a bunch of stuff I don’t recognize and want to be able to sort further in case I get more guns that can fire it or pass it onto friends who can use it. Anyone recognize these?

The OFV is of Indian manufacture and very dangerous to shoot! Avoid it at all costs!

Stay away from anything marked KF762 as well.

OFV is Indian made M80 ball ammo. Less than stellar reputation for some years.

AOC 1340 is .303 Brit made by the Italians in the '50's for Egypt.

But what calibers are those?

I will toss the OFV junk.

The DEN 44 is USGI .30-'06 and is corrosive.

FN 58. Fabrique Nationale; Herstal, Belgium. 7.52X51 most likely.

Probably. Could be 30-06 and/or 8x57mm since FN was making those calibers as well into the ‘60’s I believe. W/O a side shot of the cartridge it is hard telling.

The rounds with blue primer sealant appear to have markings from Ethiopia. They made a variety of calibers both nato and bloc.

Well since you provided the country of origin, I got curious and did some more digging. According to this site:
https://armamentresearch.com/e...-x-57-mm-cartridges/

Those should be 7.92x57 mm. I guess that's another term for 8mm Mauser.

That was amusing.
