Which 9mm PCC? *Pg 4 - Stribog SP9A3
So, the only problems I had were with the 20rd straight mags. More issues with the suppressor & flat nose 147gr together. Used AE & Blazer brass.

Both 30rd mags, new & older gen, were flawless with & without a suppressor. No issues with either flat nose 147gr.

The Stribog suppresses well & is a very smooth shooter. Trilug is simple to use & better than direct thread when possible.

A friend has an MP5 clone & it shot even softer than my Stribog.

Took my new SP9A3 for a first outing to the range today. Although I plan to do upgrades, I kept in its stock configuration to see how it runs. Just added a brace, red dot, and 3 lug adapter. Found out why the HBI short stroke buffer is a must have when I got a round to fall back into the lower and jam the bolt. Was loading the first round off a mag and it didn’t go fully in. When I pulled the bolt back to clear it, it fell back into the lower. Had to disassemble the gun to clear it.

Next run will be with upgrades (HBI buffer, trigger springs, locking charging block, bolt release, and GO 40 degree locking block).

Did you have any particular questions or anything?

Current setup:

I guess it's been seven months, I'll give an update. Switched to the Gen 2 Lingle lower, and I like it a lot better. I removed the factory sights because they suck, I wasn't using them anyways, and the front sight was interfering with being able to mount a TLR-1 on the extension. It works great now. Pictured is a Rovyvon GL-4 Pro, great little IR unit for the money. The bolt stop/release is really nice. B&T style, but a lot easier to actuate than my friend's GHM9 or APC9. I plan to stick a flat face Rise Armament RA140 in it and pull the Geissele out for another AR build. I still need to put a 45 degree safety in it as well. Driven Arms Corp VCG-L grip is my new absolutely favorite. I was using a Magpul K2XL, but this is much nicer. Can is a Stealth Additive Works Kalil, a 9mm prototype that's stupid quiet and runs much, much cleaner than my Ecco Machine does. Almost no backpressure. You can't see it, but I have a KD Gunwerx dual recoil assembly in there now... with the HBI short stroke buffer cut down to use in place of the hard plastic factory one the KD wants you to use. They were half off, and I'd seen some guys on the subreddit cobble that together and figured I'd try it. It's a ridiculously smooth shooting setup now. I see now that KDG expressly says not to do the combo buffer mod, but I'm pretty sure I can work up a printed TPU buffer design that works around the problems they cite. I think it's just pure laziness on their end.

Now for the bad. My last range trip with this guy and the Scorpion, I got a group with one ragged hole at 25 with the Scorpion in the process of zeroing before a match. With the Stribog and a couple different types of ammo, the best I could do was several inches off the bench. That isn't great. I hadn't been shooting it for groups, so it's not something I really noticed until now. It also still will not feed anything but round nose bullets from Pmags, so between those two things, I'm going to contact GO and see if they'll take a look at it. The accuracy... I can kind of live with because I'm planning to get a Daniel Defense PCC anyway, and this will just be an NV fun gun, but I want the feed ramp profiled and polished so it'll at least feed more reliably. Apparently the feed ramp fix is one they pretty freely offer. I'm also seeing that they'll just send you one of their new curved mags to try out, but that's not a fix I'm interested in.

Yeah, the HBI or KDG are basically required gear. I ordered the HBI and installed it before I ever shot it.

I’m on the fence about using the Lingle lower. It’s disappointing to hear of issues using Scorpion mags when feeding flat nose bullets since my suppressed shooting is done with flat nosed 147gr and Syntech 150gr. Also hearing that the PSA mags are tight and don’t drop free, and some mags may requiring shaving down the top of one feed lip or the mag catch area on the mag because the various Scorpion mags have some differences with each other.

I’m going to try the factory lower with the HBI trigger springs and bolt release, with the factory curved mags the gun came with first, and then compare against the Lingle lower setup.

Yeah, the Gen 1 Lingle lower I had would feed from the original factory CZ 30's. My Gen 2 will not. It will feed from the original factory CZ 20rd mags, of which I have, and kept a few. I'm yet to try any PSA mags, but given that they're only a buck or two cheaper last I looked, I'll probably stick with Pmags. They've been 100% except with flat nose stuff, and even at that, that ammo wouldn't feed in my Scorpion, either.

The Grand Power curved mags are supposed to be a lot better about feeding. The new Global Ordnance curved mags are supposed to be even better than that, and they're basically a copy of the Pmags. I don't know if they're any cheaper since they were first introduced and it doesn't matter now, but at $40 a pop, they just weren't going to be an option for me.

Nothing I'm seeing has 100% resolved the feed issues with flat nosed ammo for people. Some guys have no problems with the curved GP mags and flat nosed, some have no issues with the GO mags and flat nose, some guys can't get theirs to run flat nosed anything with any combination of mags. GO has only recently started offering the feed ramp reprofile and polish service if what I'm seeing is accurate, so it looks like at least there's an ongoing effort by the manufacturer and importer to fix the big Achille's heel of the platform. I'm also seeing that there are guys that are having feed problems with the SP45's with HK mags, and so it just looks to me like Grand Power has not figured out how to design a feed ramp.
