No, I'm not in the wrong section...

Because after a series of tests and trials, several UK Police agencies have chosen the Glock GR-115 rifle as their primary duty rifle.

Glock had initially debuted their first rifle back in 2022, which they had entered into the UK military's trials, but didn't win.

And Glock had recently been awarded rifle contracts in late 2025 with the Slovakian police and Brazilian police, which I believe were the first major adoptions of a Glock rifle ever.

GLOCK GR-115 Selected as UK Police National Primary Carbine

Following the most comprehensive small-arms trial conducted by UK policing in more than 20 years, the GLOCK GR-115 rifle has been selected for UK specialist armed units through two separate procurement awards. GLOCK won an exclusive contract to supply a high-level specialist national policing network, and the GR-115 also ranked highest among carbines approved under the broader framework agreement. Evaluated against competing rifles from multiple global manufacturers, the GR-115 recorded the highest accuracy results in both suppressed and unsuppressed testing.

Limited Information Available

The TFB crew has been working to obtain official images and technical specifications of the GLOCK GR-115; however, these are not currently available from GLOCK. Images circulating online appear to be leaked photos likely from the British Army's Project Hunter carbine evaluation trials process.

GLOCK's UK Law Enforcement History

GLOCK has supported UK law enforcement since the 1990s, and the selection of the GR-115 expands that long-standing relationship. In addition to supplying the rifle, GLOCK will provide ongoing service support, training, and logistical assistance to UK police units.

Official Announcement

The original press release from Viking Arms, GLOCK's UK distributor, reads:

Glock GR-115 Selected as the Weapon of Choice for UK Firearms Units

As the UK distributor for GLOCK, Viking Arms is proud to publish the following press release following the successful award of the National Police Primary Carbine Tender.

London, UK — 9th January 2026 — Following the most extensive weapons trial conducted in UK policing in the past two decades, the GLOCK rifle GR-115 has been officially selected as the firearm of choice for specialist armed policing units across the country.

This decision marks a significant milestone in the evolution of armed policing capabilities in the UK. The GR-115 rifle outperformed a field of leading global manufacturers, achieving the highest scores for accuracy both suppressed and unsuppressed.

A Legacy of Trust and Support

Glock has been a trusted partner to UK law enforcement since the 1990s, when GLOCK pistols were first adopted by police forces nationwide. Today, Glock continues to stand firmly behind UK policing, providing not only advanced firearms and long-term service but also training and logistical support.

Engineering at Its Core

The GR-115 rifle represents the culmination of years of intensive research, development, and refinement of the AR platform. Its superior accuracy, reliability, and adaptability are the result of rigorous testing and collaboration with end-users to ensure operational effectiveness in the most demanding environments.

Availability

The GR-115 rifle is only available to selected law enforcement and military customers at this time.

Two Separate Awards

GLOCK's selection involved two distinct procurement processes:

National Specialist Network Contract (Lot 1): GLOCK won an exclusive, outright contract to supply a high-level specialist national policing network. This sole-source award represents dedicated business for GLOCK separate from the framework agreement.

Framework Agreement (Lot 2): The GR-115 also achieved the top ranking among approved carbines in the framework agreement, which allows approximately 50 individual UK police units to select from an approved list based on their operational requirements.

Framework Agreement Details

A total of six 5.56×45mm carbine platforms from multiple manufacturers have been approved under the Lot 2 framework agreement. This framework permits each of the approximately 50 individual UK police units to procure a weapon system from the approved list, subject to internal assessment of operational suitability and intended use.

The approved Lot 2 framework carbines are:
GLOCK GR-115 (top-ranked)
FN ASR
IWI ARAD
Beretta NARP
Colt C8
Knights KS-3

Who Can Purchase from the Framework

Under the framework agreement, the following UK law enforcement agencies are among those authorized to select carbines from the approved list (including the GR-115):

West Yorkshire Combined Authority
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority
Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales
Avon & Somerset Constabulary
Thames Valley Police
Scottish Police Authority
Police Service of Northern Ireland

Note: The separate national specialist network contract operates independently of this framework.

Looks like another AR, but a different bolt stop (circled, and if in fact that's what I'm looking at).

It kinda surprises me just how much Magpul is is that picture (CTR, MBUS, etc). I woulda thought Glock would do more of their own polymer parts

Currently, yes. From the press release:

"The GR-115 rifle is only available to selected law enforcement and military customers at this time."

Assuming this contract is for 'the other' law enforcement agencies throughout the UK, whereas the Sig MCX will continue to be exclusive to London Metro and Counter-Terrorism Specialists?

There's a list towards the bottom of my OP showing which police agencies this contract covers. These are allowed to purchase Glock rifles under the contract.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority
Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales
Avon & Somerset Constabulary
Thames Valley Police
Scottish Police Authority
Police Service of Northern Ireland

Plus also the unspecified "high level specialist national policing network" that has adopted the Glock rifle. (Perhaps the UK's national network of Counter Terrorism Police Units?)

I wonder if we will ever see them here. I am sure they would sell like hotcakes, even though the market seems flooded with ar-15s.

I know we asked a bit ago when we were in the market and were told they were not available over here at the time. It certainly wasnt for lack of want, apparently the US reps had received several requests.

Shot is around the corner or else we will see what the future brings. I don't think this is a groundbreaking gun, but I suspect it is well built. Sadly so much goes into govt purchasing that I cant always put a ton of stock into testing without being able to read a document.
