1) SIG Sauer develops the ‘Spear’, an innovative new combat rifle for US Military.

2) The US Military adopts the SIG Sauer ‘Spear’.

3) SIG Sauer immediately develops a new military rifle called the ‘Javlen’ which is a product improved rifle based on the ‘Spear’ but has no internal component compatibility with the ‘Spear’.

4) SIG Sauer discontinues the ‘Spear’ and offers no support or replacement parts.

5) US Military adopts SCAR for general issue across all services. Big Grin

You forgot the fact that the magazines are $100 bucks a piece, and rarer than an honest man in parliament.
Other than that it looks awesome, cant deny that.

I want it to be awesome. I've been waiting for this one. Watching from a distance. Product improved SCAR?

Guess we will see.

Exactly how would one get a full auto new production gun? just curious.

Seems to me you need to be one of a couple different types of FFL, or in LE in some capacity. Not sure about private investigator laws but I want to say there is some crossover there.

I guess I didn’t frame that well. I know the law to get a full auto. But since you are “waiting on one” I was curious which category you might be and why you think sig might actually deliver one in that channel?

Oh I just meant waiting for the Spear to be released in general, both to the Army or whoever and then what happens on the civilian side. Won't be full auto any version I'd get.

I could have sworn I ran across a 308 MCX prototype/ display a couple years back but I'm not 100% sure cause I was in a hurry and saw it in passing.

The MCX latest version appears to be pretty solid and finally worked out the problems and may be a Military adoption in the future. I want to know what this will look like as a 308 cal rifle, and if on the civilian side this new caliber 204 Fury or whatever will be available as well.

SIG would develop "Thrown Rock." Rock involves launching Neolithic projectiles at enemy.

Certain types of FFLs or a government agency. A manufacturer may create them, and then transfer to basically two types of entities = a government agency or an FFL with an SOT receiving one as a T&E gun for an agency.

Thanks, I know the drill on this actually. It was more of a tongue in cheek post to SP who was "waiting for this one".
