Would you prefer if I went with "No shit, Sherlock?"

Add to that the third post down is me saying no I'm not replacing the stocks.

Hey guys, my apologies if I hurt anybodies feelings. Absorbing a little sarcasm, and realizing why I might have dispensed it, shouldn't be too much of a burden.

I like that ... flesh with blue and red veins maybe emanating from a black & blue bruise ... that is something that would be deserving of a picture! with fired and unfired bean-bag rounds, of course!
Maybe even a video of someone getting shot with it and you standing over them yelling "There, you're not dead!"

Wow ... I'm really getting carried away here Big Grin

I might consider getting some, it might encourage the wife to not sweat using it when necessary. Maybe just the first two are bean bags, if that's not persuasive, well..

You might be on to something, think how terrifying that might be to an intruder.

Best avoided outside an on duty LEO context. They are “LESS Lethal” not “NON Lethal”

LL are normally used on people you could shoot but don’t want to or have to YET, I.e. guy with a knife before he can close distance. However they are used with another officer providing lethal force cover in case they do not work. They do sometimes cause fatal injuries and would still be considered lethal force for a civilian.

Anyone you need to point a shotgun at and fire on needs to be someone worthy of buckshot or a slug. If they are not a threat worthy of lethal force, you do not want to be explaining to a grand jury why you pointed a loaded shotgun at them and pulled the trigger.

The only reasonable civilian role I can think of for LL 12 gauge rounds might be as a “warning / discouragement load” on bears.

The shotgun sounds like a great deal.

You need a big sword bayonet for it.

The type with a +20" blade.

An 1866 French Chassepot would be perfect.

I already own one of those, no joke. I have a few old bayonets, for some reason. I also have more modern ones, for the M1 Garand, etc.

The one I used for Woodchucks most recently looks like this:

Great deal Arc. I grew up shooting many different shotguns. Ithacas, WesternFields, and Auto 5s. But the 1st shotgun I bought for myself was/is a Mossberg 500. I'll never get rid of it. They are just classic working guns. Mine is just pain Jane though. No fleshy overtones.

I need a spray tan though, so when I give Airsoft's "chack chack" speech to a perp, the contrast isn't so bad.

The lighting in the funstore must be really blue, because it was really salmon/pinky there. Also, the bayo for the M16 works just fine on it.

I'm a stickler for safety, and I would never load a lethal round in such a shotgun. Just the way I am. (the orange is intended to show others that it is a less lethal shotgun, loaded with less lethal munitions) I would find a used take off furniture set for $40 from somewhere to put on it personally. At any rate, that's a hell of a deal.

We'll have to ask a police officer, but I believe the stock is so the cops know, not so everyone else does. Regardless, I'll not be wandering around in public with it.

I'll load my own rounds with salt water taffy if it makes you feel better.

Consider all the different colors of gun stocks out there, what do the Hello Kitty ones mean? Loaded with marshmallows?

Perhaps we can argue this one day, when I actually greet an intruder in my own home. Do you think he'll get a good look at the stock?

That's not nearly as ugly as you described it. With stock like that, you can't lose it in a dark closet.

Nice find and fantastic price.

May I ask what state are you in that you need a permit for a shotgun?

I don't get it with used shotguns. Gunbroker has them all the time in great shape for dirt cheap. Great deals can be had, but they just sit there and often have no bids on them.

You did well. Sounds like a good one.

I think if it were single shot or held less than five rounds you don't need a permit. Anything considered "large capacity" you need an LTC Class A here in MA.
