Looks like it’s happening! The roller lock system looks awfully familiar, like possibly patent infringement level familiar, but we’ll see. Guess I know my next purchase.

It's essentially the same price as a Kuna or Stribog. More options are always better, but this one doesn't really appeal to me unless it takes Scorpion mags by default.

Taurus makes a roller delayed PCC! That was not on my BINGO card. The same video just popped up on my feed. Looks like a P365 style FCU trigger chassis and quick change barrel. Competitive on price for a roller delayed PCC.
Negatives: Yet again, proprietary mags. Looks like it does not do last round bolt hold open just like the MP5.
The other fascinating part is the non-woke Taurus advertising showing a homeowner clearing his house using it for self defense.
Edit: Will someone figure out how to fit an FRT with the Fire Control Unit? If that is solved then Taurus will sell a bunch of these. Taurus is selling tons of TX22s because it is a budget entry into 22 pistol FRT.

Hopefully mags will be cheap and reliable. Looks like right now, only the 4.5” barrel version is available. Put one on backorder at Europtic, so hope they are shipping out soon. Getting the non-brace version as I already have left over braces from other guns.

Every time I get a notice from PSA about TX22 re-stock, they're out. That said, Taurus seems like they're getting their shit together.

some of those are licensed clones which is slightly different, but I agree there is nothing left of the IP from an MP5 at this point and hasn't been for a couple of decades. It would actually be nice if this was an actual clone at least at the level of the locking block, rollers etc. for parts and adjustability but that isn't clear.

Disclaimer: Haven't watched the videos
If it's the same-ish price as the established competition...what makes this more appealing than those? I've been itching to handle a Kuna, as a PCC is probably my next buy. Had a Scorpion on my shortlist but the favorable reviews here of the Kuma & Stribog make them more appealing.
To me, the appeal is a MP5-type roller delay system that has potential to be as soft shooting as the MP5 type guns. Yes, the Kuna and Stribog have a roller delay too, but it’s a different system than the MP5 system and not as soft shooting. Also, supposedly comes with an AR FCG so you can put in a better trigger without having to get a new lower. Comes with a QD barrel so it’s easy to change barrels without requiring a special barrel nut tool, and a separate handguard that can be swapped for different lengths instead of the monolithic uppers of the Kuna or Stribog where you can only add length. How it actually performs in the real world is an open question right now, but it’s always good to have more choices. People could have said the same thing about the Kuna when it was released. Why did SA bother bringing it over when the Stribog was already out? Why does CZ keep selling their decade old direct blowback Scorpion?
Don’t quite understand why everything has to take Scorpion mags. Most guns don’t, especially those made outside of the U.S. If you spend $300+ extra, you can get a Kuna or Stribog to take Scorpion mags, but you can buy 14 proprietary Kuna mags for the cost of a Nexus Kuna lower. There’s a ton of successful PCCs that don’t take Scorpion mags.

Thanks, I haven't looked too deeply into this yet. Agree that more's better. Will have to do some hands on research when I get closer to wanting to buy
This dropped today. Looks like early reports of using AR trigger parts might be wrong, so may not be able to swap them out. Also, it’s a serialized chassis type FCU according to the rep, which may cause SBR engraving location problems. Looks like going the SBR route may be a bit harder, at least until aftermarket catches up. Bummer. Also looks like extra mags are a couple of weeks out at least, but on the plus side he expected them to be less than $30.

How would one solve 922r on this gun? The FCU doesn't bother me too much, I have that issue on my B&T and I just engrave the FCU, find someplace visible and do it again and there is no way the ATF is going to win that battle.
