Look for a NOS or used 870 Express 20 gauge Tactical. #81100 has been discontinued but there are lots out there. 18.5" cylinder bore barrel and 6+1 IIRC.

Random internet selection

Not a bad price.

^^^ Nice find!

Are there major differences between this and the standard Express, aside from wood vs synthetic, the 18.5" barrel, and the mag tube extension?

Forgot to mention there's a $50 Remington rebate on certain shotguns through Halloween, IIRC.

That would help cover the cost of the magazine extension. Cool

Speaking of which, who's got recommendations on magazine extensions? Remington original? Wilson Combat? Nordic? Others?

I got 20G Walmart compact Express to see if 20G could keep up with the 12G big boys at bowling pin and "tactical" matches.

Its rough and as posted, reloading eats fingers.

But I like it.

Nordic magazine tube.

I went through the list of UPCs eligible for the rebate. These are the 20 gauge ones:
047700255613, 047700255835, 047700255828, 047700255972, 047700256597, 047700269498, 047700811000, 047700811451,047700811482, 047700811505, 047700811611, 047700811666, 047700812236

Google the UPC to find the model.

I would get an 1100 in 20 gauge for a girlfriend. The semi auto shoots softer, and the 20 gauge even softer. You could also use it for skeet or shooting doubles trap instead of the 870. I know a lot of trap guys that once they get really good, they start going smaller in shell size to keep it interesting. 20 gauge ammo isn't much more expensive than 12 gauge.

Yes. You are Nuts, if you can afford better than an Express. I think those must be made from pieces that fall on the floor. As others have said, get a 20 ga. WingMaster.

I have a 20 gauge Express that was made up to spec to be identical to the 870P, except this one is in 20 gauge.

Insides are forged, 870P parts in trigger group, Wilson extension at the time, parkerized, corncob forend and all that stuff. It truly is a mini me.

This is a great gun and at the range it's almost too fun to shoot. During classes the range instructors look closely and realize it's a 20 gauge 870P and they want to shoot it.

Shoots the same buckshot pellet size as the 12 gauge, slugs come in various weights and overall, it's a lighter and handier gun to sling and shoot during a two day class.

Loads of fun. Do buy one and have fun upgrading it.

That sounds way cool! Was that a project you did yourself, or was it factory-built that way? I'd be up for making this a winter project.

(I did buy the Express, by the way, but will still keep an eye out for a Wingmaster too.)

God bless America.
