RIP Charlie. I just got word on the M14 forum that Charlie died of a heart attack yesterday. I know there are some here that have had their rifles built by him.

Sad to hear. Another great gone.

I had a .308 Garand that he built many years ago. Sold it to a friend when we left NC. One of the great old school rifle builders for sure.

He gave up his FFL years ago. I drove down to MD several times to have him build rifles. For myself and others. I actually sat and talked with him while he worked. It was great. An immense amount of knowledge and skill died with that man.

RIP to one of the few left that can really build those sticks.
